Damascus Knife Care Instructions:

Kitchen Knives

Damascus steel has a higher carbon content, giving it a long-lasting edge. However, the carbon makes it susceptible to rust when it is subjected to moisture.

PROPER CARE TIPS
• Do not store knives in the leather roll for long periods.
• After use, wash in warm soapy water, dry immediately, and coat with cooking or mineral oil before storing.
• Do not put Damascus knives in the dishwasher.

If rust appears, hand wash and dry with a soft towel, then apply lemon juice and scrub with a cloth. This process may need to be repeated. When done, apply mineral oil or any cooking oil to the entire knife to store.

Damascus knives take a little more care, but their sharp, long-lasting edge, great feel, and beauty will last you many years to come.

Outdoor Knives
